4-H Volunteer Opportunities:

Most of our 4-H Projects, 4-H Events, 4-H Contests, 4-H Camps, Community Events & Curriculum Enrichment Programs are run by volunteers of all ages!

Below is a Monthly List of Volunteer Opportunities at the COUNTY LEVEL!

(Each 4-H Club also participates in their own community service projects throughout the 4-H year! Check with your 4-H Club for information about club level community service projects!)

January:

  • Water Fair VOLUNTEER Training

  • Leon County Youth Livestock Show Concession Stand
  • LCYLS Stock the Trailer Canned Food Drive
  • Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast (Recognizing our Leon County 4-H, Master Gardeners, EEA Members, & Other Volunteer Groups)

May:

June/July:

  • 4-H Recordbook Contest
  • 4-H Summer Day Camps
  • July 4th Home & Garden Fair
  • Summer 4-H Overnight Camps such as SURGE & SE D8 4-H County Camp
  • Leon County 4-H Awards Banquet (Dinner & Set Up)

August:

  • Leon County 4-H Kick Off Event (Booth Leaders, Game Helpers, etc…)

September:

  • 4-H Workshops

October:

  • October 15– Health & Safety Fair, Expo from 8-2pm– Volunteers NEEDED for Group Leaders, etc… Call 903-536-2531 or email cassie.ferguson@ag.tamu.edu
  • October 18– Veterans Appreciation Event, Expo– Volunteers NEEDED & Desserts Donated

  • Help SELL 4-H 20 Prize Raffle Tickets- See flyers attached- Flyer has been edited and is appropriate for Facebook Now
  • Ways to Help:
      1. Sell them yourself! I can give you stuff to set up a table or you can do it yourself
      2. Sign up to work a shift at 1 of the locatinos I have advertised!

            5. More Dates & Locations may be added later depending on how well ticket sells go
